We can help you, wherever you are, to get your seastory into the world.

So Many Voyages

So Many Stories

Dirty Sailor Company's mission is to share the attitudes and beliefs coming from the forecastle with the ignorant world above. Through publishing sea-story, memoir, and other media content, we can edge closer and closer to our goal. We can help you in a variety of ways: self-publish, edit, publish directly, or act as a literary agent. See our work below, or check out our blog.

Our Published Works

Shipmates: Before the Mast: A Coastie's Chronicle of the Dishonorable
By PoJack Ashore and Bradley Angle

A psuedo memoir from the transitioning era of the USCG from DOT to DHS. Where the enlisted class is juxstaposed from the officer class, and thrown into the surf, tossed about like wrack, and ulitmately left alone to sink or swim.

Margo McPhee series
By Eric Baliantz

As the Literary Agent, Bradley Angle (dba Dirty Sailor Company), is actively pursuing publishers for Eric's middle-age masterpiece. The Marge McPhee series is where our nautical-swashbuckling-empire collides with the next generation - and Eric gives it meaning and value.

AYALA: The Coast of Spanish California
By Bradley Angle

A full length academic history on Juan de Ayala, the first Spanish Naval Officer to sail into San Francisco Bay, and a historic review of the Spanish along the coast of the Californias and PNW.

Troubled Waters: The legacy of USCG Hero Travis Obendorf.
By his Mom, Lauire Powell

We helped Laurie create a portable biography and history of her son and the tragedies that took his life. Troubled Waters is more than a display of imoral leadership in the USCG, it is the story of shipmates who band together over the long haul and struggle to protect their own, and help where they can.

Juan Sebastian Elcano
By Bradley Thomas Angle

The first naval officer to circumnavigate in one voyage has never been told in the English language until now. This is the side of the Magellan story that Spain celebrates... Join Bradley on his first attempt, a learning experience, to craft a non-fiction to expand our knowledge of maritime history.

Our Role in Publishing

How Dirty Sailor Company Contributed to Each Book

Dirty Sailor Company doesn't pride itself. We actually find some type of meaning, contentful and even joyous, at times, meaning, in all of this stuff and time up here on the surface, where the birds touch down and bells can actually make a racket, when we interact with people, strangers as much as friends, for the purpose of analyzing, crafting, sharing or creating a seastory. Our efforts go into the genuine, the interested and focused, and into the salty and weatherworn faces of the world.  We’ve contributed by giving social support from afar, by editing, formatting, taking each self-publishing step hand-in-hand, by crafting, and by winning and succeeding. You’ll find about a dozen authors through this site – only a handful of which do not use a synonym – all of whom felt, I believe, some sense of relief through our publishing and publication efforts.
